Are T-levels replacing the BTECs?

The government declared in 2021 that several BTECs overlap with t-level qualifications. They have declared that T-levels should take the place of BTECs. The government has provided a list of 160 BTEC subjects that overlap T-levels. They claim that the proposal to discontinue the majority of BTECs will take place in 2024 and they will be out of public funding. The two are Construction and built environment and Networking and Architecture.
